In black chalk I write my name on the floor in a circle around the column.
I write in a spiral, getting closer to the column. As I do so I gradually increase the pressure on the chalk.
Writers who follow start their writing close to the column, far away from it or somewhere in between.
The graduation from light to dark in the written surface becomes irregular.
