Raag Suha
Via headphones I hear the voices of dhrupad singers Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha.
While turning slowly and gradually around my center I reproduce the sounds that I hear with as little as possible delay.
The singers perform a raga composed by Tansen, 16th century composer from Mughal India.
The piece starts with an improvisation on the long-stretched basic notes of the raga, followed by Tansen's song with improvisations.
