In the Magaio residency in Portugal I worked in collaboration with Myriam van Imschoot, writer and performance artist from Brussels. The title of the residency was 'The voice in rural landscapes'. After the finishing of our project 'Vozes de Magaio' we were asked to orally answer some questions about our project in order to create an over-voice with the video documentation.
Since a while I am interested in the concept of unisono, a term for the musical phenomenon where a single melody-line is performed in parallel by various voices/instruments. We decided to answer the interview questions in parallel with each other, due to the concept of collaboration as well as creating an interesting test for my ideas about unisono. Here are some results after two days practicing our answers:
